After Hours: Virtual Cooking Class

Savory, sweet, crunchy, chewy - microwavable eats can still be a treat! Keep your phone out of the microwave and bust out your oven mitts during this virtual cooking class. Learn how to make quick snacks fit for your hungry college student life!

Prepare your ingredients in advance with the following list! Microwave cooking times vary by setting.

**All ingredients have a base set of ingredients but can be changed more or less to the preparer’s preferences in meats, veggies, condiments, toppings etc.**

Egg Omelet Ingredients: For 1 Serving

  • 2 Eggs ½ Bell Pepper

  • 2 Slices of Preferred Lunch Meat

  • Salt, to taste

  • Pepper, to Taste

  • Cook for approximately 2 minutes

Oat Ball Ingredients: For 12 Bites

  • 1 cup Old Fashioned Oats

  • ½ cup Nut Butter, your preference

  • ½ Chocolate Chips

  • 1/3 cup of Honey

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon, Optional

  • Stir together and roll into balls, refrigerate as needed!

Butternut Squash Pasta with Meat Balls: For 4 Servings

  • 1 bag Green Giant Veggie Spirals Butternut Squash 12 oz. Bag

  • ½ Bell Pepper Salt, to taste

  • Pepper, to taste

  • 12 Meat Balls, Fully Cooked

  • 2 Cups Pasta Sauce

  • Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese, to serve

  • Cook for about 7 minutes

Brownie in a Mug: For 1 Serving

  • 3 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour

  • 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar

  • 3 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder

  • 3 Tablespoons Flavorless Oil (Canola, Coconut, Sunflower)

  • 3 Tablespoons Water Pinch of Salt

  • ½ Teaspoon Vanilla

  • 2 Teaspoon Chocolate Chips

  • Cook for about 1 minutes

Snickerdoodle Cake in a Mug: For 1 Serving

  • ¼ cup and 2 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour

  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar

  • ¼ Teaspoon Baking Powder

  • ¼ Teaspoon Cinnamon

  • ¼ Cup Milk, at Room Temperature

  • 2 Tablespoons Salted Butter, Melted and Cooled

  • ½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • For Layering/Topping

    • 1 Tablespoon Sugar

    • ¼ Teaspoon Cinnamon

  • Cook for about 1 minute
